Jim Furyk won his 15th PGA Tour title in a playoff with Britain's Brian Davis for the 2010 Verizon Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links on Sunday, April 18, 2010. Jim Furyk, the world'S number six, triumphed at the first extra hole after Davis was assessed a two-stroke penalty for making contact with a loose impediment in a greenside hazard when playing his third shot. Furyk sank his par putt to complete his second victory on the U.S. circuit in five weeks. The pair finished the 72 regulation holes on 13-under-par 271.

Jim Furyk, born May 12, 1970, is an American professional golfer, known for consistently playing at the top level and for a visibly unconventional, looping golfswing. Due to his ability to perform at such a high level despite that swing, his devoted fan base has given him the nickname "The Grinder." In September 2006 he reached a career high of second in the Official World Golf Rankings. He hasranked in the top-10 for over 300 weeks between 1999 and 2010.
